At the age of seven, Meredith started volunteering, was gifted her first camera, her own suitcase and met her first homeless person. She has been traveling, photographing and dedicating her time to serving those in need ever since. Meredith has been the Executive Director of FIRE since 2004. Her leadership has given FIRE a unique focus in rural Mongolia as well as ensuring that program deadlines and expectations are met. Meredith leads the Flagstaff office and the teams in Mongolia and Nepal to research, implement and evaluate ongoing and future programs. She develops and maintains FIRE’s strategic plan and partnerships with donors and international organizations, overseeing the implementation of donor and grant-funded programs. She orchestrated the final six volunteer distribution trips in Mongolia. She has worked closely with the local team in Mongolia to establish FIRE’s current campaigns, making them as dense and comprehensive as possible. Meredith was recognized by The Economist Intelligence Unit as a 2017 HCV Change Maker. Meredith has a BS in Communications from Northern Arizona University with an emphasis in Photography. She served as FIRE’s main photographer for the last 15 years and is a member of the Flagstaff Rotary Club
