“Project ECHO, Mongolia” is a national, multi-level telemedicine and tele-mentoring model developed by the University of New Mexico. “Project ECHO, Mongolia” – ECHO is Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes, a tele-health, tele-mentor, capacity building program from the University of New Mexico, Project ECHO. The University of New Mexico has waived its normal fee to help bring vital education and information to the most remote areas of Mongolia. FIRE intends to use Project ECHO to connect international liver specialists with Mongolian liver specialists. Within Mongolia, we will connect Ulaanbaatar liver specialists to provincial specialists, and the most remote clinics. We plan to start activities with Govisumber in late 2026.
