The past year has been one of extremes for FIRE. We experienced unprecedented recognitions and opportunities to share our work in Mongolia on the global stage, while also making significant progress in developing new programs and partnerships. At the same time, we faced unexpected obstacles and delays. Like many nonprofit organizations, the U.S. federal government’s changes created new challenges. Still, FIRE did what we do best—we got creative, drew on our tenacity, and persevered. We ended the year stronger and on the other side of all challenges.
