In July 2025, FIRE signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) for “Hepatitis Free Mongolia, Phase 3” and our other upcoming projects. NCCD is a specialized tertiary government responsible for managing, preventing, monitoring, diagnosing and treating infectious diseases nationally and providing professional and methodological guidance. NCCD is appointed by the Mongolian Ministry of Health to lead all hepatitis work in Mongolia. They are an important strategic and implementing partner for FIRE. NCCD Specialists will help develop our program methods and tools while serving on FIRE’s working group. They will also provide the necessary government scientific reviews and approvals.
