Put those unused miles to good use! With more ways than ever before to accumulate air miles, many people find they can’t possibly use all the frequent flyer miles in their account.

Now there’s a way to put those miles to good use — you can donate them to FIRE!

Your donated air miles help reduce the high cost of travel for our program staff. Reducing our travel costs allows us to put more money into the programs and services you support. Air miles can also provide the necessary travel arrangements to bring Mongolian physicians to the United States for additional training and so much more.  If you would like to donate award vouchers, transfer miles or make a pledge of miles, please fill out the Donate Airline Miles Form.

Donating Award Tickets
The easiest way to donate miles to FIRE is to purchase an award ticket directly in the name of the person to travel. Please make sure you have sufficient miles in your account and fill out the form on page 11. When the time arrives to purchase your ticket you can either provide FIRE the necessary information or book the ticket yourself.

Domestic Travel - 25,000 - 45,000 miles

Travel to Mongolia - 60,000 - 95,000 miles

Transferring Miles
Miles can be transferred to the traveler’s personal frequent flier account for individual airlines. Airlines charge a fee to do this. This is a good option if you have a few remaining miles on an airline where you no longer collect points.

Donating Vouchers
Step 1 - Read the fine print on the airline voucher and check to see if it is transferable. If you have any questions or don’t understand the legal statements, call the airline directly. If you think that the voucher can not be transferred but you would still like to donate it, call the airline and ask to speak to a supervisor or their employees in charge of the frequent flier mile donation programs. If you explain that you would like to donate it to a non-profit group, they may allow you to transfer it.
Step 2 - Check the expiration date of the voucher.
Step 3 - Fill out the donation form on page 11 and mail it with the voucher to FIRE using a secure method.
